Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the operator of Reactor (reactorlang.com) (“we”, “us”), governing your use of the Reactor app and website (the “Service”), wherever in the world you use it. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old — or the higher minimum age of digital consent in your country — and able to enter into this agreement. If you are a minor, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

2. The Service and plan limits

Reactor turns audio and video you choose into a language-learning experience: AI-generated transcripts, translations and explanations, plus shadowing (Echo) practice tools. The free plan includes usage limits — currently transcription of up to 5 minutes of content per episode and a monthly transcription quota that resets each month. The Pro subscription removes these limits. We may adjust quotas to keep the Service sustainable; material reductions to paid plans will be communicated in advance.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your credentials and all activity under your account. Keep your password secure and notify us of any unauthorized use. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Account → Delete account).

4. Subscriptions, billing and renewals

Pro subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are billed by the respective store under its own terms. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled; manage or cancel renewal in your App Store / Google Play account settings before the renewal date. Refunds are handled according to the applicable store’s policy and your local consumer-protection law. Prices and currencies may vary by region, and applicable taxes are determined by the store.

5. Your content and copyright

We do not claim ownership of your content. You grant us only the limited, revocable license needed to operate the Service for you — for example, storing your imported audio and processing it to produce transcripts and translations. If you believe content processed via the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice with the required details to support@reactorlang.com; we respond to valid notices, which may include removing content and terminating repeat infringers.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights; (b) upload or process content you do not have the right to use; (c) reverse engineer, scrape, overload or circumvent security measures; (d) use automation, multiple accounts or other tricks to circumvent usage quotas or abuse AI features; (e) resell or commercially exploit the Service; or (f) use it to build a competing product or train models on our outputs without permission.

7. AI-generated output

Transcripts, translations and explanations are produced by automated AI systems and may contain errors. They are provided for language-learning purposes only and are not professional, legal, medical or financial advice. Do not rely on AI output for any critical purpose.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, branding and trademarks are owned by the operator of Reactor or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws worldwide. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own language learning, subject to these Terms and applicable app-store rules.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD 50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING). Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits; nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and your mandatory consumer rights are not affected. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you import or your breach of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 8, 9 and 11) will survive.

11. Governing law, disputes and language

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights and protections granted by the law of your country of residence, and nothing in this section deprives you of them or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right. These Terms may be made available in other languages for convenience. In case of conflict, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Changes and contact
